SERVING SINCE 1978 AND EVOLVING FOR THE FUTURE
Rotary International: Creating Lasting Change
Rotary is a global volunteer network of over 1.4 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Rotary's 45,000 clubs work together to develop and implement sustainable, community-driven projects that fight disease, promote peace, provide clean water, support education, help mothers and children, grow local economies, and protect the environment.
One Mission, Two Ways to Get Involved
Whether you’re drawn to the camaraderie of a traditional club or the flexibility of a new model, we’re all part of the same team. Rotary is for anyone who wants to be of service, whether you have two hours a week or two hours a month.
>> The Main Rotary Club of Kerikeri: People of Action
We’re a group of locals who care deeply about our community, the surrounding area, and the world. Since 1978, our members have rolled up their sleeves to support youth, build infrastructure, plant trees, mentor leaders, and back global causes that make a real difference.
Kerikeri is known as the jewel of the Mid North—and it didn’t get that way by accident.
This town has been shaped by over 45 years of people pitching in, showing up, and working together.
We meet weekly to enjoy fellowship, learn about our community from a variety of speakers, and plan projects to improve Kerikeri, Northland, and the world.
We’re part of the global Rotary movement, with clubs in over 200 countries.
Together, we’re tackling important challenges right here in Kerikeri, such as enhancing community infrastructure, helping our kids in various ways, supporting mental health, improving the environment, providing disaster relief, and more.
We meet most Monday nights at 5:30 for dinner at the Homestead Sports Bar & Bistro. Sometimes, we hear from a local speaker, and other times, we roll up our sleeves and plan the next project.
Guests are always welcome. Just let us know you're coming via our contact page.
>> The Satellite Club: New Energy, Same Mission
We know that life is busy and that not everyone can commit to weekly dinners and formal meetings. So we've started something new.
The Rotary Satellite Club of Kerikeri is a fresh take on service. We’re a more flexible, hands-on group that meets when and where it's convenient, and we focus on doing rather than dining. It’s perfect for people who want to give back but need a little wiggle room in how they show up.
This new club is:
-
Service-first: Projects over protocols.
-
Flexible: Join in as you’re able. There are no strict schedules.
-
Welcoming: Open to all ages, stages of life, and backgrounds.
While we’re just getting started, our goal is the same: to make a real difference right here in Kerikeri.
We're project-driven, low-fuss, and high-impact.
Our motto is "Come when you can. Do what you can."
Which Works for You?
Whether you want to meet regularly, or participate when you can, what matters is your passion for service. Either way, your contribution will help create positive change.
Rotary is for anyone who wants to help. That means you!
Come visit a meeting or join a project. We’d love to meet you.
Let's make something good happen together. Reach out here. We'll get back to you soon.
