Do you see a way to make a difference in Kerikeri and the mid-North but lack the time and support to make it happen?
Do you have a little time and energy to make our community better but don’t want to attend weekly meetings?
Would you like to volunteer along with your family and friends?
Then, why not engage with like-minded people
who see a need in these areas?
What Is Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of over 1.4 million volunteers in over 200 countries — people from all walks of life who come together to make positive change in their communities, support humanitarian causes worldwide, and build friendships and connections through service.
There are over 35 Rotarians in Kerikeri who have been providing service to the community since 1978.
What Is a Satellite Club?
The Rotary Satellite Club of Kerikeri is a mini-club that operates under the umbrella of the main Kerikeri Rotary Club but with more flexibility.
Rather than weekly meetings with a meal and a speaker like the traditional Rotary Club has, the Satellite Club meets separately and less frequently, and meetings are solely focused on a specific project members to serve the community…no meal to pay for and no speaker. It’s a much more flexible format for people with busy work schedules and young families.
Both clubs focus on finding ways to serve their local community, the surrounding area, and the world. They just use a different format to achieve these objectives.
